When you=E2=80=99re just starting out as a Virtual Assistant=2C it can be=
 difficult to know what to do first.

You might wonder: Should I work on my website? My social media accounts? G=
et my business license? Order business cards? Or a gazillion other things=
 that are flying around in your head.

I understand why it=E2=80=99s so confusing=2C because all of those things=
 are important=2C and we only have so much time in a day. So where do we s=
tart?

If you=E2=80=99re ready to start the flow of revenue right now=2C here=E2=
=80=99s what I suggest:
1. Tell everyone you know about your business. I mean everyone. Past bosse=
s=2C neighbors=2C the parents at the school bus stop=2C people you meet at=
 weddings. You can announce your business via social media=2C too=2C but t=
he most effective way to get the word out is in person=2C via email=2C or=
 on the phone/Zoom. The more personal the conversation=2C the better the r=
esults.

2. Don=E2=80=99t prospect. It=E2=80=99s impossible to figure out who=E2=80=
=99s going to hire you=2C or who knows someone who=E2=80=99s going to hire=
 you=2C so don=E2=80=99t waste brain cycles on this. I could easily tell y=
ou 25 stories about the unlikely places my clients have come from. Keep an=
 open mind about this.

3. No cold calling. Please don=E2=80=99t walk around your town talking to=
 business owners that you don=E2=80=99t know=2C handing out flyers or putt=
ing your business card on the bulletin board at the diner. It=E2=80=99s no=
t going to move the needle. Build upon your existing relationships.
