So=2C if it=E2=80=99s that simple=2C why is getting clients a problem for=
 so many people?
1. They=E2=80=99re afraid to try. Like anything else=2C starting a busines=
s or networking is scary when we=E2=80=99re doing something for the first=
 time. It's human nature to avoid risky activities. So=2C instead of focus=
ing on what will work=2C we focus on what won=E2=80=99t to justify our ina=
ction.
This is you if you=E2=80=99ve ever uttered one of these phrases: =E2=80=9C=
I don=E2=80=99t know anyone who needs a VA. I can=E2=80=99t charge that mu=
ch. No one will pay me to help them. I don=E2=80=99t have the right skills=
 or experience. I can=E2=80=99t [fill in the blank].=E2=80=9D

2. They=E2=80=99re worried about what people will think. First=2C I want y=
ou to know that people are not paying the close attention to you that you=
 imagine. They=E2=80=99re too busy thinking about themselves. And for thos=
e voicing their opinions about your new business=2C it=E2=80=99s important=
 to consider the source and the intent.
The people closest to you - your spouse=2C mother=2C best friend=2C relati=
ves=2C want to protect you. So when they see you doing something they cons=
ider risky=2C they will try to talk you out of it. Again=2C human nature.=
 Another scenario that might happen is that people will be jealous of you=
 taking steps toward your dream because this shines a light on the fact th=
at they are not.

3. They overcomplicate it. Does this sound familiar? =E2=80=9CI can=E2=80=
=99t tell anyone about my business because my website is not done=2C and I=
 can=E2=80=99t create my website until I get a client so I can afford it.=
 I will wait until that happens before I send out my announcement or atten=
d any networking events."
That might sound logical and like a good plan=2C but it=E2=80=99s not. And=
 if you=E2=80=99re waiting for everything to be perfect or to feel ready=
=2C be prepared to keep waiting for a long=2C long time.

In the end=2C getting clients comes down to mindset. If you believe in you=
rself=2C take action consistently=2C and don=E2=80=99t let fear get the be=
st of you=2C trust me=2C you will have all the clients you can handle.

 so many people?

rong> Like anything else=2C starting a business or networking is scary whe=
n we=E2=80=99re doing something for the first time. It's human nature to a=
void risky activities. So=2C instead of focusing on what will work=2C we f=
ocus on what <em>won=E2=80=99t</em> to justify our inaction.<br>
=09<br>
=09This is you if you=E2=80=99ve ever uttered one of these phrases: =E2=80=
=9CI don=E2=80=99t know anyone who needs a VA. I can=E2=80=99t charge that=
 much. No one will pay me to help them. I don=E2=80=99t have the right ski=
lls or experience. I can=E2=80=99t [<em>fill in the blank</em>].=E2=80=9D=

=09&nbsp;</li>

webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;"><strong>They=E2=80=99re worried about what=
 people will think.</strong> First=2C I want you to know that people are n=
ot paying the close attention to you that you imagine. They=E2=80=99re too=
 busy thinking about themselves. And for those voicing their opinions abou=
t your new business=2C it=E2=80=99s important to consider the source and t=
he intent.<br>

=09The people closest to you - your spouse=2C mother=2C best friend=2C rel=
atives=2C want to protect you. So when they see you doing something they c=
onsider risky=2C they will try to talk you out of it. Again=2C human natur=
e. Another scenario that might happen is that people will be jealous of yo=
u taking steps toward your dream because this shines a light on the fact t=
hat they are not.<br>

oes this sound familiar? =E2=80=9CI can=E2=80=99t tell anyone about my bus=
iness because my website is not done=2C and I can=E2=80=99t create my webs=
ite until I get a client so I can afford it. I will wait until that happen=
s before I send out my announcement or attend any networking events."<br>

=09That might sound logical and like a good plan=2C but it=E2=80=99s not.=
 And if you=E2=80=99re waiting for everything to be perfect or to feel rea=
dy=2C be prepared to keep waiting for a long=2C long time.</li>
