me to mind. Getting clients is one of them. Fortunately=2C when boiled dow=

s or networking is scary when we=E2=80=99re doing something for the first=
 time. It's human nature to avoid risky activities. So=2C instead of focus=
ing on what will work=2C we focus on what won=E2=80=99t to justify our ina=
ction.
This is you if you=E2=80=99ve ever uttered one of these phrases: =E2=80=9C=
I don=E2=80=99t know anyone who needs a VA. I can=E2=80=99t charge that mu=
ch. No one will pay me to help them. I don=E2=80=99t have the right skills=
 or experience. I can=E2=80=99t [fill in the blank].=E2=80=9D

2. They=E2=80=99re worried about what people will think. First=2C I want y=
ou to know that people are not paying the close attention to you that you=
 imagine. They=E2=80=99re too busy thinking about themselves. And for thos=
e voicing their opinions about your new business=2C it=E2=80=99s important=
 to consider the source and the intent.
The people closest to you - your spouse=2C mother=2C best friend=2C relati=
ves=2C want to protect you. So when they see you doing something they cons=
ider risky=2C they will try to talk you out of it. Again=2C human nature.=

 can=E2=80=99t create my website until I get a client so I can afford it.=
 I will wait until that happens before I send out my announcement or atten=
d any networking events."
That might sound logical and like a good plan=2C but it=E2=80=99s not. And=
 if you=E2=80=99re waiting for everything to be perfect or to feel ready=
=2C be prepared to keep waiting for a long=2C long time.

In the end=2C getting clients comes down to mindset. If you believe in you=
rself=2C take action consistently=2C and don=E2=80=99t let fear get the be=
st of you=2C trust me=2C you will have all the clients you can handle.

atives=2C want to protect you. So when they see you doing something they c=
onsider risky=2C they will try to talk you out of it. Again=2C human natur=
e. Another scenario that might happen is that people will be jealous of yo=
u taking steps toward your dream because this shines a light on the fact t=
