As Virtual Assistants=E2=80=94or anyone=2C for that matter=E2=80=94when we=
 attempt something new=2C we usually bump into our comfort zone. You know=
=2C that invisible boundary designed to keep us safe.

But our comfort zone also has the potential to hold us back from progress=
=2C success=2C and reaching our goals.

Sometimes=2C our comfort zone tries to protect us by playing endless loops=
 of worst-case scenarios in our heads=2C shouting=2C =E2=80=9CI can=E2=80=
=99t do THAT!!=E2=80=9D It=E2=80=99s almost as if your brain is trying to=
 protect you from some kind of impending doom.

But here=E2=80=99s the truth: when we allow the voice of fear and self-dou=
bt to take control=2C we stay stuck. We can=E2=80=99t grow=2C change=2C or=
 achieve our goals because we keep letting our comfort zone run the show t=
o keep us safe. And while safety has its place=2C there=E2=80=99s a proble=
m with this logic: Fear is Not the Same as Danger.

If something makes us nervous=2C our brain jumps to the conclusion that we=
 must be at risk. But let=E2=80=99s take a step back and examine that beli=
ef.
Danger? Really?

Are you running from a tiger? Are you dangling off the edge of a cliff? Ar=
e you about to be struck by lightning? No. You=E2=80=99re just thinking ab=
out emailing a potential client or talking about your business with a frie=
nd or former colleague.

When you look at it that way=2C it sounds pretty silly=2C right?

And yet=2C this is where so many new Virtual Assistants get stuck:
* I=E2=80=99m not comfortable telling anyone about my business.
* I=E2=80=99m not comfortable attending networking events.
* I=E2=80=99m not comfortable updating my LinkedIn profile.
* I=E2=80=99m not comfortable choosing a business name.
* I=E2=80=99m not comfortable [fill in the blank].

But here=E2=80=99s the thing: none of these things are dangerous. They mig=
ht be uncomfortable. They might push you into unfamiliar territory. They m=
ight even trigger your fear of being judged. But they are not life-threate=
ning.

To succeed as a Virtual Assistant=2C you must be willing to take action=E2=
=80=94even when it feels uncomfortable. If you could simply think your way=
 into business success=2C you=E2=80=99d already be running a thriving VA b=
usiness. But thinking alone won=E2=80=99t get you there. Action will.

Think about learning to walk. As a baby=2C that was way outside your comfo=
rt zone. You wobbled=2C you fell=2C you got back up. And then=2C one day=
=2C you weren=E2=80=99t just taking a few steps=E2=80=94you were running.=
 Your comfort zone had expanded.

The same principle applies to business. The more you put yourself out ther=
e=2C the more comfortable you=E2=80=99ll become. And there=E2=80=99s an am=
azing reward waiting for you on the other side:
* You=E2=80=99ll be able to take care of yourself and your family.
* You=E2=80=99ll be in control of your own schedule.
* You=E2=80=99ll help your clients succeed and grow their businesses.

So=2C what=E2=80=99s the secret to pushing past fear and stepping into suc=
cess?
1. Acknowledge the fear. Don=E2=80=99t ignore it or pretend it=E2=80=99s n=
ot there. Recognize it for what it is=E2=80=94your brain trying to keep yo=
u safe.
2. Challenge the fear. Ask yourself: Am I really in danger=2C or am I just=
 scared? Chances are=2C you=E2=80=99re just stepping into new territory.
3. Reframe the discomfort. Instead of seeing fear as a stop sign=2C see it=
 as a green light=E2=80=94it means you=E2=80=99re growing.
4. Take action anyway. You don=E2=80=99t have to feel 100% ready to move f=
orward. Progress happens when you take small=2C courageous steps.

The only way to get comfortable with something new is to do it over and ov=
er until it no longer feels scary. So=2C tell someone what you do=2C send=
 that email=2C or attend a networking event. Your future success depends o=
n it.

And remember: every time you step outside your comfort zone=2C you=E2=80=
=99re not just expanding it=E2=80=94you=E2=80=99re stepping closer to the=
 business and life you truly want.

rtual Assistants=E2=80=94or anyone=2C for that matter=E2=80=94when we atte=
mpt something new=2C we usually bump into our comfort zone.&nbsp;<strong>Y=
ou know=2C that invisible boundary designed to keep us safe.</strong><br>
<br>
But our comfort zone also has the potential to hold us back from progress=
=2C success=2C and reaching our goals.<br>
<br>
Sometimes=2C our comfort zone tries to protect us by playing endless loops=
 of worst-case scenarios in our heads=2C shouting=2C =E2=80=9CI can=E2=80=
=99t do THAT!!=E2=80=9D It=E2=80=99s almost as if your brain is trying to=
 protect you from some kind of impending doom.<br>
<br>
But here=E2=80=99s the truth: when we allow the voice of fear and self-dou=
bt to take control=2C we stay stuck. We can=E2=80=99t grow=2C change=2C or=
 achieve our goals because we keep letting our comfort zone run the show t=
o keep us safe. And while safety has its place=2C there=E2=80=99s a proble=
m with this logic:&nbsp;<strong>Fear is Not the Same as Danger.</strong><b=
r>
<br>
If something makes us nervous=2C our brain jumps to the conclusion that we=
 must be at risk. But let=E2=80=99s take a step back and examine that beli=
ef.<br>
Danger? Really?<br>
<br>
Are you running from a tiger? Are you dangling off the edge of a cliff? Ar=
e you about to be struck by lightning? No. You=E2=80=99re just thinking ab=
out emailing a potential client or talking about your business with a frie=
nd or former colleague.<br>
<br>
<strong>When you look at it that way=2C it sounds pretty silly=2C right?</=
strong><br>
<br>
And yet=2C this is where so many new Virtual Assistants get stuck:</p>

<ul>

webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;"><em>I=E2=80=99m not comfortable telling an=
yone about my business.</em></li>

 networking events.</em></li>

webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;"><em>I=E2=80=99m not comfortable updating m=
y LinkedIn profile.</em></li>
=09<li style=3D"mso-line-height-rule: exactly;-ms-text-size-adjust: 100%;-=
webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;"><em>I=E2=80=99m not comfortable choosing a=
 business name.</em></li>

But here=E2=80=99s the thing:&nbsp;<strong>none of these things are danger=
ous.</strong>&nbsp;They might be uncomfortable. They might push you into u=
nfamiliar territory. They might even trigger your fear of being judged. Bu=
t they are&nbsp;<strong>not</strong>&nbsp;life-threatening.<br>
<br>
To succeed as a Virtual Assistant=2C you must be willing to take action=E2=
=80=94even when it feels uncomfortable. If you could simply&nbsp;<em>think=
</em>&nbsp;your way into business success=2C you=E2=80=99d already be runn=
ing a thriving VA business. But thinking alone won=E2=80=99t get you there=
=2E&nbsp;<strong>Action will.</strong><br>
<br>
Think about learning to walk. As a baby=2C that was way outside your comfo=
rt zone. You wobbled=2C you fell=2C you got back up. And then=2C one day=
=2C you weren=E2=80=99t just taking a few steps=E2=80=94you were running.=
 Your comfort zone had expanded.<br>
<br>
The same principle applies to business. The more you put yourself out ther=
e=2C the more comfortable you=E2=80=99ll become.&nbsp;<strong>And there=E2=
=80=99s an amazing reward waiting for you on the other side:</strong>

rself and your family.</li>

chedule.</li>

nd grow their businesses.</li>

So=2C what=E2=80=99s the secret to pushing past fear and stepping into suc=
cess?

webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;"><strong>Acknowledge the fear.</strong>&nbs=
p;Don=E2=80=99t ignore it or pretend it=E2=80=99s not there. Recognize it=

Ask yourself:&nbsp;<em>Am I really in danger=2C or am I just scared?</em>&=

bsp;Instead of seeing fear as a stop sign=2C see it as a green light=E2=80=
